Deputy Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Gita Kamath, emphasized the importance of the contribution of Australian alumni from Aceh in strengthening bilateral diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Australia.
Kamath conveyed this on the sidelines of the Australian Alumni Dinner held at the Hermes Hotel, Banda Aceh, Tuesday (8/10/2024) evening, as part of the celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Australia and Indonesia.
Aceh is home to more than 430 Australian alumni who are now active in various fields, ranging from government, politics, to community empowerment. This number is part of a total of around 200,000 Australian alumni spread throughout Indonesia.
